About a four weeks ago we manage to find a suitable pet courier company for our cat Hank, so that is one ‘to do’ that can be checked off our list. We initially thought about sending Hank via air when we created our ‘moving plan’ in the early days. But after researching the companies and prices we just couldn’t decide on which one to go for.
I blogged about flying your pet with Jet2 a few weeks ago, and at first that seem to be the best option. But after a bit more research we found out that it would cost a lot more than we initially planned, as Hank is a large Maine Coon cat and he would have to go on a medium size dog cage which obviously increased the price.
So we looked for the best best pet transport from UK to Spain, and after all the research, emails and phone calls, we have decided to go with Posh Pet Travel. After conversing with the owner (Rachel) via email, we just had the feeling that they would be the best people to look after Hank on his journey to his new home. Their fees are very reasonable too, and they provide constant updates via their Facebook Page so owners like myself can keep a good eye on how their pets travel progress, which is a fabulous thing!
Rachel will be picking Hank up on Monday, so this weekend will be his ‘last’. To be honest, I’ve been so worried about how he’s going to cope. But I’m sure that Rachel and her team will take good care of him. I know we have made the right choice.
