The pandemic has certainly affected tourism all over the world, including Spain which is one of the main holiday destinations in Europe. To soften the blow for businesses, La Generalitat Valenciana is encouraging residents to take advantage of the Bono Viaje scheme. Where Valencian community residents can receive discounts on their holidays.
From mid-December, residents can take advantage of promotional discounts, and these include up to 50% off for two to four-night hotel stays. And a huge 60% discount if you opt for five or more nights’ stays in hotels and accommodation that have signed up for the scheme.
Who can apply for the Bono Viaje?
The Bono Viaje scheme is only available for registered residents of the Valencian community. This includes the provinces of Valencia, Alicante and Castellon. During the application process, you will need to upload your empadronamiento. This document is obtained at your local council to prove that you live in the area of Valencia.
How can I apply for the Bono Viaje 2022 scheme?
Step 1
In order to apply for the discount scheme, you will need to register for a cita. This is not a physical appointment but an online one. Fill in the fields required. You will be assigned a cita number and a date and deadline to carry out your online application. Make sure to take note of your cita number as you will need this later. You can also download a pdf copy of the cita, similar to the image below.
Step 2
Once you obtain your assigned date and deadline, head over to the tramita website and click ‘Acceder’ this will take you to the Cl@ve website. Select the identification method that applies to you in order to log in.
Step 3
Once you have logged in, fill in the required form and attach your empadron certificate. You can obtain a padron at your local ayuntamiento. Click submit when done. It will inform you that your application has been submitted. It will take around 72 hours to confirm whether you have been successful or not.
Step 4
You can check the progress of your application by heading to the Bono Viaje CV22 website. You will need your cita number (as mentioned in Step 1) and your NIF number in order to log in.
How to use your Bono Viaje voucher
Once you obtain your voucher you can use this with any hotels and activities that are taking part in the scheme. Here is an extensive list of affiliated companies in which you can reserve discounted stays and services using the promotional code you have been given.
Is there a time limit on my voucher?
Although you can travel on the date you want, the reservation must be made within a maximum period of 10 business days from the day you receive your code, otherwise, it will expire. The voucher can be spent on reservations on the following periods:
- January 17-May 31 2022
- September 19 – December 23, 2022
What are the requirements for booking my holiday?
You must book at least two nights in a row to be eligible for a 50% discount with a maximum of €400, or book a minimum of consecutive nights to receive a 60% discount, with a maximum of €600 spend.
Additional information
