Spring is my favourite time of the year… yes people it’s the garden season! There’s nothing I love more than trailing around garden centres to pick the cutest and unusual succulents and cacti. Here are my latest favourite plant pots for succulents and indoor plants, check out where you can buy them!

I guess one positive thing that has come out of this pandemic is my new interest and love for plants. Before I came to Spain I was never really interested in succulents or cacti. Maybe that’s something to do with living in the UK, and some of these plants can only be cared for indoors. Cacti and succulents are cheap and easy to come by here in Spain, you’ll see them outside many homes and even in the wild. I mostly get my plants from local garden centres, but there are also plenty of online plant shops where you can get a wide variety of cacti and succulents here in Europe.

Our next-door neighbour has the most impressive succulents and cacti collection, I guess since learning the varieties and types of these plants finally inspired me to give them a try. I was also surprised that many of them flower too! I’ve only seen stick-on plastic flowers on cacti back in the UK!

Anyway, the great thing about succulents and cacti is that they are very easy to care for as long as they can get at least 8 hours of sunlight. Another reason why I love them! They grow well in Mediterranean climates and give your home that ‘holiday exotic feeling’ all year round.

So far I’ve collected at least 50 succulents and cacti (so far) this past year. I keep most of the outdoors on the terrace, where they get enough light and shade from the wind and sun. And of course with plants, I need planters and pots, and this is where this post comes in. I would love to share with you just some of the pots and planters that are on my wishlist!
