Autumn. The mellow season. Time for apple cider, scarfs and marshmallows.

Well, that was back in the UK, here it does not feel like conker season at all!  Somehow, summer has been extended for another two months! That all sounds great and exciting but after the summer we’ve had I’d be grateful for some autumn R&R, however Valencia lives up to its name being one of the party capitals in Spain (take my word for it they do LIKE to party).

Last week a friend from Galicia came to visit, we heard that there was ‘something going on’ in Cheste, not wanting to miss out on the fun we went with few other friends. As we got to Cheste the place was semi crowded, mostly the young adults were doing a botellón, but apart from that we thought that we walked in the wrong fiesta. (Don’t you just hate it when that happens?!). But as we walked further along we heard a buzz in one of the small street.

The atmosphere was great, people were out to have a great time, each restaurant or bar on the street had a make shift bar outside so people can be served without having to go in. The party continued for over four hours, accompanied with live music from a local band  called Nexus. After a few hours of rocking out with the gang, it was time for  our supper, so at about 11pm we headed to the bar and shared some tapas. So there you go, another weekend, another party there seem to be no lack of social gathering all through the seasons, unless it rains of course, but that’s hardly the case.
